The Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation formally concluded its Reading Program in Naga City through a Turnover Ceremony last September 23, 2004 at the Naga Youth Center.

Key personalities led by Hon. Jesse M. Robredo, Naga City Mayor; Dr. Nenita Ramos, Naga City Schools Division Superintendent; Ms. Marlene Malabanan, Jollibee Naga Branch Manager; and Ms. Gina Lomotan, SAS Operations Manager took part in the ceremonial activity.

The event was highlighted by the Ceremonial Turnover of the SAS reading carts to the 23 schools which successfully complied with the requirements of the reading program. It was actively participated by principals, Grade IV teachers and pupils from the 23 recipient schools.

The turnover of reading carts symbolizes the realization of the Sa Aklat Sisikat’s mission which seeks to deepen the Filipino child’s love and habit of reading.

With the successful implementation of the reading program in Naga City, SAS is now a step closer in achieving its vision of building a nation of readers!
