SAS Celebrates Reading at 20th World Reading Congress

A Reading Program Workshop will be presented by SAS Foundation on 27 July 2004 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the 20th World Reading Congress of the International Reading Association to be held from 26-29 July 2004 at the EDSA Shangrila Plaza, Mandaluyong City. This year’s theme is Literacy Across Cultures and hundreds of educators and reading specialists from around the world will be gathering in the Philippines to discuss the latest trends and issues in literacy.

SAS Foundation will share its best practices in classroom techniques for promoting the love and habit of reading amongst Filipino public school students. The SAS Reading Program is designed to develop reading appreciation in the public school system which is often over burdened and under-resourced. The workshop will discuss in detail the comprehensive and creative 31-day SAS Reading Program that includes all the necessary resources for celebrating reading and making reading a truly hard habit to break.
